The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment has appointed a Board of Directors and an Investment Council for the Finnish Climate Fund. The term for both the Board and Investment Council begins December 21st 2020.
In accordance with the Limited Liability Companies Act and the Corporate By-Laws, the Climate Fund’s Board decides on the company’s strategic direction, operational model and the company’s investments. If the company’s investment exceeds 20 million euros, the investment decision must also be supported by the Ministerial Committee on Economic Policy.
Perttu Puro has been appointed as Chairman of the Board and Petri Peltonen as Vice Chairman.

Made up of representatives from central ministries, the task of the Climate Fund’s Investment Council is to ensure that the company’s actions are in accordance with the Finnish government’s goals and that it takes into account the developments in its operating environment. The Investment Council does not handle individual investment or divestment decisions.
