The Climate Fund bolsters its team with two experienced finance and business professionals

Joakim Holmström, MSc (Economics and Social Sciences), has been appointed Senior Lead and Juho Pirinen, MSc (Economics), Manager of the Climate Fund’s Customer and Dealflow team.

Joakim (Jocke) Holmström, MSc (Economics and Social Sciences), will take up the duties of Senior Lead, Customer and Dealflow from 28 February. He is joining us from Finnvera’s Large Corporates unit. In addition to his work at Finnvera, he has over 20 years of experience in international impact and sustainability investment in, for example, the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and World Bank Group (WBG & MIGA).

In the Climate Fund, I have the opportunity to do important work for society by identifying new investments for the Fund. I am also excited to be involved in developing the Fund’s functions and processes. Combating climate change is a global goal, and it is fantastic that Finland has established a Fund to pursue this objective”, Holmström says.

Juho Pirinen, MSc (Economics), will step into the position of Manager, Customer and Dealflow in the Climate Fund on 17 January. He has more than 10 years of diverse experience in the development and international promotion of business and innovations in the Helsinki Business Hub, the Techcode incubator, and as an independent entrepreneur.

According to Pirinen, ”it feels great to join the top professionals at the Climate Fund.
